Assistant General Counsel- Regulatory
Responsibilities: Advise the Bank in the implementation and management of strategic financial services partnerships. Identify and resolve legal and business issues related to new and existing partners, products, and services. Serve as the primary legal point of contact on regulatory matters for assigned partnerships and programs. Develop and maintain consumer and commercial financial services programs from initial due diligence throughout the life of the programs. Have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the Bank’s business and partners. Respond to customer complaints, litigation matters, and regulatory requests related to lending programs. Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures, and programs and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters. Perform legal research, prepare and render legal opinions. Present reports and recommendations regarding legal matters. Selection, retention, management, and evaluation of all outside counsel. Other areas as interest, availability, and ability permit.
