Candidate will oversee and lead the new Civil Rights Office (CRO), strengthening the campus's civil rights investigation system. Help comply with federal and state affirmative action, equal opportunity, and nondiscrimination laws. Will have the responsibility and authority to promote compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 / § 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws pertaining to equal rights and nondiscrimination. Promote compliance with University policies that prohibit discrimination, harassment, and retaliation on the basis of protected social categories, such as age, race, color, sex, national origin, religion, disability, and protected veteran status.
