We need a Video Editor
**Paid Gig**
Howdy, we are seeking an artistic editor with fictional, narrative experience to run a creative & technical diagnostic on a completed short film. Our short (11 minutes) has been a darling in the festival circuit, having won Best Short Horror, Best LGBTQ Short, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and has screened internationally in Russia, Germany, Italy, France, Romania, Slovakia, Portugal, Mexico, Canada… it’s done really well.
Distribution has been secured, and our queer, neon-western horror will stream on several high profile platforms starting at the end of May. We are really stoked, but the short has some issues, and we hope to fix them…. to the best of our collective ability.
What we need:
1. A Diagnostic Review: What works, what doesn’t. An evaluation of the score, color, transitions, FX, title, graphics, compositing sequence and story. From there, we can itemize our priorities and identify solutions.
2. Implement the agreed upon solutions.
3. The platforms have a list of deliverables and tech specifications. We’ll check them off together.
Many of us are juggling multiple projects, but we would prefer to block off at least 4-5 days (if needed) of laser focus. We can work remotely using Zoom, FaceTime, screen and file sharing.
Editor with works that have been distributed or in competition to the front of line!
Please respond with your experience, reel, availability, and links to fully completed works.
Many thanks!
