Assistant General Counsel
Duties: Will be responsible for providing legal advice and support on a broad range of issues related to employment, intellectual property, and tax and international related matters. The incumbent will support the development of the organization and build a positive reputation for the department among domestic and international clients, senior management, and outside vendors, working with internal and external counsel as appropriate. Provides timely, sound and practical legal advice, counseling, and documentation while supporting Corporate Legal department staff. Provides support with internal Global Product Group initiatives and implementations. Provides support with large scale IT/IP implementations and international service agreements. Provides support to the HR team with a variety of matters including policies, immigration with inbound and outbound matters, and other employment related matters. Functions as a liaison to the Corporate Tax Department on matters ranging from tax planning to compliance. Maintains current knowledge of applicable domestic and international laws, providing management with analyses of potential impacts and relevant information. Demonstrates strong negotiating and drafting skills while developing and implementing corporate policies and standards to maximize compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
