Developer needed to create custom wholesale Shopify plugin
The majority of our customers purchase in bulk and we are trying to allow customers to purchase with tiered pricing through our website. I currently have an app doing this (barely), but the app doesnt allow multiple different purchases with a discount, uses a coupon in the cart and is glitchy. I do not like using Shopify apps at all. We REALLY need a custom solution for this ASAP. Typical orders placed through our website range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.
We need a custom plugin/code snippet/whatever that changes the price of an item according to quantity BEFORE added to the cart so that discount codes are not used. Price changes also need to be reflected in the cart when quantities are changed. This should be pretty straightforward and fairly simple to accomplish.
We do not use Shopify Plus, if we did I would just make a script to do this so you will likely need to use Javascript. Preferably in vanilla, but jQuery is fine. Id do it myself but no longer have the time.
Do not apply if you do not have formal training or a degree in this field. I will know if youve done a shoddy job.
That being said, this should be simple to accomplish and I dont care how you go about it. Just as long as the websites speed isnt affected and the dev console doesnt show any errors related to your code.
This job has the potential to turn into an ongoing project after this first task is completed if you would like. Whether or not you would like to do more work in the future will not affect any hiring decisions. Just need this particular job done soon.
