AWS DevOps Engineer – Sr. Solution Specialist
Are you an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer? United States Delivery Center is looking for a roll-up-your-sleeves DevOps Engineer who wants to be a part of a daily collaborative environment, without the extensive demands of travel.

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
Consult with clients on the system design of AWS environments
Create, implement, and manage the development of scripts to automate everyday operations
Monitor and maintain multiple (DevOps) environments based on client requirements
Responsible for the configuration and setup of backups as well as setup automated AWS patching
Lead program optimization to work within constructs of an AWS environment
Manage system migrations and system upgrades to create and deploy new cloud environments
Mentor and guide junior level resources on the team

Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Qualifications
Required
7 years of experience with implementation, migrations and upgrades in the AWS Cloud environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Ability to build and deploy micro services-based applications in cloud with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes
Automation scripting experience with 2 or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, VBScript, Ansible, Perl, Bash, Shell, Python
Experience data and server structure in RedHat Linux and or Oracle platforms
Demonstrated experience in AWS storage encryption, data at rest, and data in transit
AWS Management Services experience (CloudWatch, ELB, EC2 autoscaling, CloudTrail and AWS Config), AWS workspaces, and AWS directory Services
Experience fully managing AWS IAM in large cloud and virtualized environments.
Must be eligible for U.S. Government Clearance
Travel up to 20% (while 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes
