Our Client uses many open-source applications and our platform includes Linux, Java, JBOSS, , MySQL, Hibernate, MongoDB ,Ehcache/ Memcache, Pentaho BI suite, and other leading open source tools and systems. This position will report to our Development Manager.
Responsibilities include
Design and implement powerful, highly scalable, and reliable services
Work closely with other talented developers
Provide code reviews to assess overall code quality and flexibility, and the application of good object-orientated programming techniques
Work with Product Owner(s), QA and Development to design, develop, test and deploy world-class software
Resolve defects in your own and other's code
Invent novel solutions to challenging technical problems
Have a passion around bringing innovative ideas and functionality into products at our Americas and Asian brands
Assist in analysis and resolution of complex production support issues
Writing Java features
Participate in design discussions, and translate business requirements into technical tasks
Be part of a dynamic, continuously delivering team using Agile development process
Monitoring, Unit testing, Continuous Delivery and Integration
Qualifications
5 years of experience as a Java and J2EE technical lead, designer, and senior developer
5 years of experience with software development using Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JIBX, AXIS, UML , EJB, and Web Services
5 years of experience as a team lead with a team of 4 developers and full life-cycle software development
Experience with database queries, SQL, and PL/SQL
Experience with MySQL / JDBC/ NoSQL (MongoDB), application servers such as Tomcat or JBOSS, SAX/JIBX or other Java XML tools is a plus
Enterprise level development experience.
Experience with Travel industry domain is a big plus
Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within established timelines
Exceptional Communication skills - written and verbal
Detail oriented
Familiarity with Agile software methodologies
Lifelong learner who enjoys programming
Technical competency in developing high-performance, scalable applications
A strong drive to learn new internet technologies
A passion for building great software in a team-based environment
Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
