Sr Informatica Programmer

Profile

Sr Informatica Programmer:
• Knowledge of the Informatica platform and the Informatica PowerCenter data integration platform is critical
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form including the aptitude to take non-technical requirements and convert them into technical requirements
• Research and document user requirements and system specifications
• Design and develop complex program logic addressing specific programming needs
• Prepare specifications and programs of a highly technical nature
• Experience with creation and testing of code to implement functionality
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into detailed system and program design specifications
• Undertake program design activities including definition of data and error message arrangements
• Test programs, new and existing, to insure they perform as expected
• Proficient at preparing lifecycle documentation for newly created and existing software programs including changes that reflect new user requirements and error corrections/bugs discovered after testing phase
• Analyze proposed changes at a system level and recommend designs and solutions that minimize impact to interfacing systems while maximizing code re-usability and maintaining business value
• Prepare reports on the status, operation, and maintenance of system software for use by computer equipment suppliers, systems designers, other programmers and computer operators
• Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures that rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Required Skills:
• 5 years experience with Informatica
• 5 years experience developing large complexity Data Warehouse solutions
• 5 years Strong SQL and Analytical skills are required
• Solid understanding of both transactional and relational databases
• Strong ETL tuning and performance skills.
