Avanade is the premier global system integrator for the Microsoft platform. Avanade Technology Solutions (ATS) is a geographically-based workforce within Avanade that provides Application Development, Application Maintenance, and Infrastructure Operations services to a variety of clients utilizing the broad spectrum of Microsoft-based technologies and tools. As a .NET Developer, your focus will be on designing, developing and testing mission critical enterprise solutions and other custom application development projects using the .NET Framework, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, SharePoint,and SQL Server and other advanced components of Microsoft technology.
Responsibilities may include:
• Participate in the assessment of the customer environment and requirements and document the findings properly
• Create technical specifications based on functional requirements
• Develop components of new applications using the Microsoft technology stack
• Perform tests according to a given test plan and document results
• Perform basic support and debugging in test and production environments
• Identify and escalate problems
• Maintain and repair existing applications
Qualified candidates should possess:
2 years developing on the Microsoft platform
2 years of demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following:
.NET Framework
C# or VB.NET
ASP.NET
SQL Server
Strong customer service and communication skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field
The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and will be required to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements for security investigations include, among other things, US citizenship.
Preferred Requirements:
Proficiency in 1 or more of the following:
SharePoint
BizTalk
Business Intelligence
