The Position
The Senior Manager CRM analytics role is central to LendingTree’s long-term strategic growth and will collaborate closely with leadership across the major functions of the business on a real-time basis including, most notably, CRM, Product and Marketing. You will partner with leaders of our businesses to convert ambiguous business problems into analytical frameworks. The goal will be to identify significant solutions that would help us optimize email campaigns and provide personalized experience for our customers. You will accomplish this via manipulation of large datasets, identification of key variables and development of a narrative. You will need to be able to challenge the status quo and influence the organization through clear communication of your recommendations with linear, logical arguments and supporting data.
You will have a close relationship with your business partners and help them understand the data that drives the business. You will drill into data to find the pockets of opportunity like what is the next best offer for a customer, what triggers define the next best action for our customers.
Responsibilities
Drive critical thinking and cross-functional alignment around data-driven approach to optimize product and marketing efforts (inclusive of experimentation) based on customer segments, lifecycle stages, and other critical customer attributes.
Partner with CRM/Marketing organization to develop world-class CRM capabilities including optimization of email/notifications processes/metrics, personalized marketing communications and high-velocity testing, etc. to achieve key results and support next-generation of marketing portfolio management.
Lead the full cycle of iterative big data exploration, including hypothesis formulation, algorithm development, data cleansing, testing, insight generation/visualization, and action planning.
Manipulate datasets to identify patterns and translate the resulting insights to your partners.
Track results of strategic business initiatives to resolve whether the outcome was a success; support development and conclusion of A/B testing.
Define and track critical metrics to ensure targets are met including volume, staffing, quality and margin goals.
Perform industry research by combining internal and external data sources into concise, meaningful summaries.
Communicate and defend recommendations to various functional leaders.
Skills and experience
5 years of experience working in web, product, marketing, or other related analytics fields.
3 years of experience working with customer data in CRM analytics, customer analytics, customer lifecycle marketing, or related field/function.
Proven ability to deeply analyze customer data to advise marketing and product decisions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Business, or similar quantitative field.
Ability to tell stories with data, educate effectively, and instill confidence, motivating partners to act on recommendations.
Pragmatic: you know the 80/20 rule and know when to boil the ocean and when not to. The solutions you develop are understandable and implementable.
Proficiency in software required to manipulate large data sets such as SQL, Python, R, Excel.
Close coordination and knowledge/data sharing with counterparts who share goals and responsibilities.
