Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Programs

Duties: Develop and administer impactful staff and faculty diversity and inclusion programs. Will be expected to collaboratively promote innovative strategies that lead to an enhanced and sustainable cultural competency as reflected within the University community and the institution’s processes and policies. Working within the new division of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, will partner with the Director of Employment Services and the Associate Director of Executive Talent Management & Branding to ensure that the University recruits and retains a highly qualified and diverse faculty and staff. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, the incumbent will serve as the University’s chief diversity officer responsible for challenging the status quo and effectuating large scale cultural change in alignment with the University’s strategic goals, mission initiatives and best practices in diversity. Will collaborate with key stakeholders within the University community and foster relationships with strategic partners and diversity/affinity groups, both internally and externally. Will prepare all necessary reports and data in support of the business case for employee diversity and inclusion practices. Will be responsible for overseeing the compilation of the annual affirmative action report, mandated by the federal government. Will interpret the University’s utilization data on the basis of gender and ethnicity (as compared to national availability data by job group or academic discipline) for administrators and search committees.
