Duties include: Translating business data with applications and processes into database architectures in a data warehouse environment; designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining database systems; setting user privileges within the database environment; establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers; participating in disaster recovery exercises; providing on-call (off hours) support of database systems and instances; providing consulting services to application developers, business professionals, and ETL developers.
Experience required includes 5 years of hands on experience with the following technologies and environments - Data Warehouse, Oracle (10G, 11G), ASM & R.A.C., Scripting, advanced SQL, and Unix. Strong problem solving and analysis skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. Preferred experience includes Oracle Grid Control, and RMAN.
