Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Profile

The Securitized Products Group (SPG) technology team is seeking a Quality Assurance professional. The SPG business originates and trades products including Mortgage-Backed Securities, Asset-Backed Securities, and Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities. The SPG Technology team is building out the QA team to support our re-engineering programs.
The ideal candidate has a passion for technology, excellent problem solving skills, is interested in working in a team environment, has a positive attitude, and thrives in a dynamic business and technical environment where change is constant. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with technology and non-technology team members.
Responsibilities include:
Work with subject matter experts on analyzing testing requirements for various financial applications and designing test strategy/approach/plan/cases with a focus on providing adequate regression and functional test coverage.
Promote quality principles and standards while designing and executing manual and automated tests for multiple software builds for scheduled releases.
Coordinate test execution, while tracking and reporting test results and various reporting matrices.
Document defects/issues in a tracking system. Proactively troubleshoot with Development and QA peers to replicate, identify, and resolve issues.
Required Skills:
5-8 years' experience in Quality Assurance
2 years' experience with Financial Applications
SQL
Understanding of functional decomposition and risk-driven testing approach
Proven interpersonal, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Solid knowledge of development and testing tools
Windows/Linux/Unix server environments
Messaging platforms (MQ, TIBCO or similar)
Understanding of relational database concepts
Familiar with distributed application environments
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with QTP
Scripting Experience is a plus
Experience with regression and Black Box testing, Windows/Linux/Unix shell, Perl, HTML
