Humana's Resolution Team is looking for a Vendor Management Lead to join working remote anywhere in the US! This position is dedicated to leading strategy that supports our Grievance and Appeals operations team with our vendor partnerships to help drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about the consumer experience and driving positive change at Humana. They will manage vendor relationships as well as partner with operations to determine their needs. They will also maintain and build strong partnerships across Consumer and Provider Services & Solutions as well as the enterprise, ensuring that the team's work is well-integrated with similar initiatives across the company.

The Vendor Management Lead will work as liaison between vendors and the organization as well as review and negotiate terms of vendor contracts and communicate with vendors regarding day-to-day matters. Additionally, you will monitor vendor performance and research invoice and contractual issues to resolve discrepancies. In this role you will also advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance, exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience
2 years of project leadership experience
Previous experience in Vendor Management
Progressive operational experience
Leadership experience over a large metric-intensive operational unit
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong facilitation skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Work at Home/Remote Requirements


Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings
Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required


Preferred Qualifications


Certification with Six Sigma and/or the Project Management Institute
Prior experience in a healthcare or insurance setting
Knowledge of Medicare Advantage
Grievance and Appeals experience
