Location can be Chicago, IL or Springdale, AR

Job Purpose/Summary:

This position is responsible for facilitating and managing the claims process and team in order to recoup upwards of $10MM annually in raw material claims with vendors and customers. It will also oversee the reporting process and team for meat procurement reporting & data management. This will include analyzing reports, dashboards, presentations, and performance cards on $3.5B in spend for internal and external use. In addition, they will be responsible for achieving organizational financial goals set annually.

The position will work with many cross-functional teams including operations and quality to resolve issues for Tyson plants as well as meeting with Tyson vendors. Strong communication and decision-making skills will be critical to the success of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Responsible for $10MM in raw material claims

Manage & analyze meat procurement reporting for $3.5B in spend

Developed & facilitate value opportunities

Partner with cross functional leadership teams

Make financial decisions for operations & procurement

Analyze market factors and historical data to optimize purchasing decisions and increase market advantage

Address and resolve issues related to material quality, price, and delivery.

Continually manage and support vendor relations.

Continually manage and support customer relations.

Supervise meat procurement analyst(s)


Requirements:


Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 5 years’ experience required. Experience in analyzing commodity data, historical data, and/or purchasing data preferred.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills: Experience with SAP system and Excel

Special Skills: Highly collaborative team member with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external organizations. Supervisory experience a plus
