Under the guidance of Manager of Plant Operations, the Maintenance Technician II performs routine maintenance duties including maintaining all filters, maintenance on air conditioning, mechanical kitchen, elevators, etc.  All work Repairs are performed under supervision by qualified personnel.
Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct in support of CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Mission & Vision.

Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical equipment, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems and control systems in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instrument
Maintains records of equipment repairs and maintenance.
Observes mechanical devices (pumps, engines, compressors, motors, conveyor systems, laboratory equipment) or control systems in operation. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments and systems.
Prepares surfaces for painting and finishing; applies undercoats and finish coats; mixes and matches paints and finishes.
Builds cabinets, shelves and specialty items for departments, including plastics and plastic laminates from provided blueprints or self-generated sketches.
Makes general repairs to the facility including furniture systems, room’s fixtures and associated equipment.
Designs, codes keying system for individual departments. Repairs and cuts keys.
May be required to work extended hours in case of an emergency.
Ensures service line commitment to life safety, quality and risk management policies, procedures and standards of regulatory agencies.
Accountable for maintaining required certifications. 
Represents CHI St. Luke’s Health in physician, community relations and vendors in a professional/accountable manner.
Supports department-based goals and contributes to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
Establishes/maintains effective and respectful communication in all collaborative relationships.
Provides on-call 24 hour coverage to respond to incidents or emergencies as required in a professional and accountable fashion.
Performs duties in accordance with that of CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial policies and procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
