Associate Director of Estate and Gift Planning
The candidate will initially report to the Assistant Vice President for Estate and Gift Planning to receive direct coaching and on-the-job training and will then transition to reporting to the Senior Director of Development. Will assist the office with planning, implementing and directing a comprehensive planned giving program and ensures that policies and procedures are best in class and driving fundraising growth. Collaborate with development staff, deans, directors and faculty to identify planned giving prospects and creates strategies to cultivate new planned gifts and personally carries a portfolio of planned giving prospects with the capacity of $100,000+ and initiates a number of personally significant contacts that are consistent with established annual metrics. Works with the Assistant Vice President for Estate and Gift Planning to ensure university gift policies are in place and updated for all potential and existing planned gifts as well as other gifts when required and remains professionally current on state and federal income tax legislation, charitable giving methods and legal aspects of charitable giving techniques. Develop and continue the growth and refinement of a marketing plan for planned gifts.
