Job Summary

As a Senior Engineer, Teradata DBA/Architect (E4), you will be the lead database administrator / Teradata Architect, responsible for Teradata database, Strong SQL performance tuning, Viewpoint, Presto, QueryGrid, TASM , BTEQ, Data Domain, TPT, FASTOAD, MLOAD, TPUMP, DBQL, PDCR. One needs knowledge of Teradata RDBMS at both physical and logical level, and an understanding of systems performance data. This position is responsible for guiding database team and ensuring that critical decision-making system is available for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s analytics group.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities


Manage physical database design
Build, maintain, and support the Teradata architectural environment
Manage production objects in change control environment
Develop proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance
Perform system level and application-level tuning
Support the application development teams for database needs and mentorship
Perform backup and recovery operations
Support production and DR processes
Support end-user queries
Administer database security
Provide on-call support


Required Technical Experience and Knowledge:


Hands on experience on EDW - Teradata Database Administration, knowledge of Teradata RDBMS at both physical and logical level working knowledge of Teradata suite of tools: Viewpoint, TASM,BTEQ, ARCMAIN, TPT, FASTOAD, MLOAD, TPUMP, DBQL, PDCR
Maintain and support cloud environment for EDW applications.
Experience in working with Teradata support team on Incidents
Review system bottlenecks and ensuring the smooth execution of reports within the SLA
Performance review of new code being before deployed into Production
Analyzing sessions with for high spool usage, high CPU hits, high skew
Performance trends and projecting future capacity needs
Bi Weekly calls with divisional teams and address concerns
Provide and assist analysts users for any query execution issues
Explore and maintain TASM workload rulesets
Experience with AWS services, such as VPC's, Security Groups, databases (RedShift/Athena/Snowflake), S3, experience deploying and migrating databases, meaningful experience on cloud-based will be a plus
Collaborate with development teams experienced with these newer technologies, and be eager to share your expertise.
Tackle problems together with peer team members, DevOps, development and testing team, product owners and scrum masters, satisfy prospective and existing customers.
Hands on experience with QueryGrid, Trino QueryFabric, Sqoop, understanding of systems performance data (collection, monitoring, analysis)

Salary:

Pay Range: $124,648.68 - $186,973.01
