Job Description:
Our client in Burgaw, NC is seeking an experienced Custodian to join their team to assist with the cleaning and disinfecting of their office buildings. The Custodian will work 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Compensation is $12/hour.
Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop and dust offices
Clean and disinfect restrooms and kitchen areas, replenish paper supplies and soap as necessary
Sweep, mop and vacuum floor surfaces, spot and clean carpet
Clean windows, walls, wood work and light fixtures
Empty trash and cigarette receptacles
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Background/Skills:
Minimum one year of recent experience in a similar position
Qualifications:
Some knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment
Ability to understand oral and written directions
Physical ability to perform heavy manual work
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Other Information:
Custodian candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
