Sonographer I, Medical Imaging, Days, Full Time','Full-time','Radiology/Imaging','7A-7P','7A-7P','72','72','Occasional','Occasional','KENTUCKY-SHELBYVILLE-JEWISH HOSP','','!*!Performs adult two-dimensional echocardiographic and doppler studies, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, biopsies, stress testing, EKG’s, and assists the Cardiologists in formulating the final interpretation of these studies. Responsible for the daily operational activities to include processing of test results, charting, billing and filing. Maintenance of equipment and work areas. Follows Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards per department exposure control plan.

Solid knowledge of circulatory
system, anatomy, physiology of the heart, recognize and identify cardiac
pathology. Adult
2-D echocardiography, adult transesophageal echocardiography, basic patient
care, blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiography, stress testing, CPR,
basic computer skills.','!*!Education:


Graduation
from an accredited training program in Cardiac and/or General diagnostic
sonography.

Experience:


Recent
completion of a twelve-month internship in diagnostic ultrasound (with at
least six months in Cardiac or General ultrasound) or equivalent recent
directly-related work experience.

License/Certification:


Registration
with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).Current
