Shift: 7am - 4:30pm, call is required.  Will perform CT & general Radiology.
 
Job Summary:
 
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Imaging Services and/or Mercy Outpatient Imaging Manager, the CT Technologist works closely with the referring and interpreting physicians, other department staff and patients.  The CT Technologist is qualified for and will perform technical support in CT and Radiology.  The CT technologist is responsible for designated assignments associated with position.
 
Essential Functions:

Performs C.T. scans or assists in another specialized area.  Routinely provides exams of high quality and presents them to Radiologist for interpretation.
Performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiology exams of high quality.
Completes all required paperwork in a timely & accurate manner.  Assure all fields are complete including, but not limited to; contrast type, usage & amount/pregnancy/ & time out reporting in accordance with department & JCAHO safety standards.
Complete exams on Meditech, to include all applicable ancillary charges and verify exam on PAC’s in a timely manner upon exam completion.
Serves as a role model for less experienced Technologists and is able to assist in the training and orientation process.
Shares knowledge in the formulating of techniques and provides input into the improvement of departmental policies and procedures and maintains appropriate lines of communication.','!*!License/Certification:

ARRT registered staff radiology technologist with ARRT/CT credential preferred. 
Must have current ARRT & OBMI licensure.
Must have current BLS within 30 days of hire.
Experience:

Must be able to work without supervision, be organized and a self-starter.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
Education:
