Position Summary
We are looking for an exceptional system-level software engineer to join our core development group, developing C and C infrastructure and application components for our cutting-edge products.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop software and system solutions for application delivery networking including TCP/WAN optimization/IPsec/tunneling products* Architect, design, implement and maintain features for F5 products* Research, investigate, and prototype new areas of technology to enhance existing products or new product direction* Document software designs via functional specifications and design documents* Communicate and collaborate with team members
Qualifications
* Bachelor degree in computer/engineering related field - MS preferred* 5 years of professional experience in Unix-like (Linux/Unix/BSD) environment for networking products* Knowledge and experience in writing code in C/C with strong mastery of data structures and algorithms, run-time complexities, IPC* Strong background in IP networking protocols in general* Expert in TCP* Experience with developing a TCP stack* Proven ability to deliver products with highest quality and on-time* Knowledge and expertise in software engineering methodologies and effective unit testing* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing* Strong team player, ability to work with both local and remote teams* Knowledge of F5 products or related products industry is a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material. Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
