IntellaPro is an IT Recruitment and Staff Augmentation firm based in South Florida. Our Client is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer/Admin to join their team. In this role you will be responsible to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems. You will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments
Job Responsibilities
Engineer the support and maintenance of production and pre-production infrastructure
Research, design and develop internal automation tools to support the platform provisioning, maintenance and operations of large-scale products and services
Assist in-house teams with regularly scheduled product builds and deployments and hotfixes as needed
Collaborate with engineering resources to knowledge share and provide incident/request assistance as necessary
Designs and develops high-performance and highly available groups of servers for resource-intensive network applications
Works closely with technical staff to solve operational issues with our services, tools and infrastructure
Collaborate with solution architecture to devise infrastructure solutions most suitable to meet system requirements
Develop best practices, operational procedures and design documentation including change controls
Plan and coordinate system utilization, and performs growth analysis and capacity planning
Review current systems and make technical/process recommendations for improving efficiency
Troubleshoot systems, applications, and networks to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems
Stay up to date with relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems. Evaluates new hardware and software technologies, and presents analysis and purchase recommendations to the administration team and to management
Job Requirements
7 - 10 years of systems engineering/administration experience in a Windows//Linux production environment
Experience in both LAN/WAN and multiple locations
Experience working in datacenters
Experience supporting mission critical externally facing systems
Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios or any open source tools
Experience working closely with in-house and external development, QA, and application architecture teams to support the design and development of custom applications
Sound knowledge of at least 2 or more scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, Perl, etc
Solid understanding of Windows Server including Active Directory, Exchange, etc.
Significant experience with and solid understanding of HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMB, SNMP, etc
Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization
Experience with business collaboration tools such as Outlook, Excel, Visio, SharePoint
