SUMMARY:
Global Asset Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a Deployment Communications Specialist in Anchorage, AK. The Deployment Communications Specialist supports communications systems that are utilized in emergency deployment scenarios. The position supports the systems readiness state, transportation, and deployment missions. The missions may support DoD, State, and local government agencies communications needs during exercise and real-world incidents. Deployments can occur on short-notice, at any time and this position can expect to be on high alert during natural disasters with and expectation to deploy within 24hrs of being notified. Some of the communications systems and duties that are supported are listed below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Deployment Communications Specialist is expected to be the Subject Matter Expert on the systems utilized by the Alaska Transportable System, to include:
DISA Teleport and joint SATCOM/DISA gateways
Satcom communications troubleshooting techniques
DISA Teleport Access Procedures, to include keying, passphrase, and cyber security implementation
USNORTHCOM deployable standards and deployable concept of operations (DCOPs)
Operations, management and troubleshooting of network systems within the deployable and tactical edge environment
Unified Communications environments for both real time voice and video service implementations
Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and IA controls
Transportation requirements for the components utilizing various types of transport
Inventory management
Load, unload, layout and prep tools/supplies/equipment/materials needed at each job site.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Other duties as assigned by GAT Operations Manager/Arcticom General Manager. 
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Required:
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Technical Diploma/OEM Certifications.
Applicant should have 5 years’ experience supporting communications systems.
Proficient use of Windows applications and Operating Systems.
Good driving record with no significant vehicle traffic violations.
Already possess or the ability to obtain a valid Alaska driver’s license.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills. The ability to be at work consistently and predictably.
Observance of a level of personal hygiene/appearance that meets generally accepted business standards and expectations.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Preferred:
Experience Land Mobile Radio systems.
Fundamental knowledge of RF, wired/wireless communications systems, networking equipment, microwave, signals and electronics testing.
Experience as an Electronics Technician, System Technologist, or Field Service Technician.
Possess excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field.
Ability to assemble and disassemble various military style tent structures to include, but not limited to, CAMMS, DRASH and Airbeam Radomes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good working knowledge of communications systems with the ability to interface with the customer’s technical people and provide appropriate technical support.
Must be physically capable of performing the essential work duties.
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Not afraid of heights and willing to travel.
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with customers as well as other staff members
DoDD 8140 IAT Level II compliant certification required within 6 months
Good work ethic and strong team worker.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is physically demanding. The must be able to carry test equipment, tools, and site equipment in excess of 100 pounds from mode of transportation to the work site. Travel includes the use of company truck, helicopter, snowmobile, or ATV to get to sites. Climbing ladders and antenna towers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
Job sites are statewide within Alaska. Areas include office settings, working closely with the Customer, and third party contractors, to outdoor remote work sites on the ground, rooftops and towers. Outdoor work sites include antenna towers, ridgelines, and villages. Weather conditions can vary significantly from site to site, especially in the winter.
