Associate General Counsel
The candidate will negotiate, draft and review University commercial business transactions and contracts and perform risk analysis, with focus in procurement/purchasing and internet technology transactions (software/hardware), and sponsored program compliance. Establish effective relationships with key internal and external constituencies, and represent the Office of Purchasing and Office of Information Technology. Serves as a trusted strategic partner with University business units, providing practical advice and alternative solutions to commercial business issues. Provides backup support to other attorneys including research and writing, in support of other areas of the office such as research, intellectual property, labor and employment, discrimination and accommodation, academic affairs, and student affairs. Ensures accurate record keeping in compliance with OGC data quality protocols. Complies with delegations of authority including signature authority for committing University funds. Perform other duties as assigned.
