This position is responsible for providing technical expertise in the day- to- day engineering of the IP Telephony and IP Contact Center environments. This person is a key participant in all on-going initiatives leveraging this technology. The position reports directly to the Corporate Vice President responsible for VoIP Architecture and Engineering at client. This is a strategic and highly visible position involving multiple implementations of leading edge IP telephony and call center technologies.

Minimum 5-7 years experience
• Significant experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco
Unity/Unity Connection (UCXN), including experience integrating with Unified Contact Center
Enterprise (UCCE)
• 25% of work will require minimum 5-7 years experience with Cisco Unified Contact Center
Enterprise (UCCE) and Customer Voice Portal (CVP)
• Experience with all voice signaling Technologies, SIP in particular
• Engineer IP telephony implementations to support architectural design
• Adapt Engineering to address service and technical challenges.
• Participates in the engineering of IPT systems, leading the documentation process and
maintaining engineering artifacts
• Performs timely engineering reviews and planning of maintenance and upgrades for
existing IPT Infrastructure (hardware and software).
• Provides technical leadership to project teams in their area(s) of expertise.
• Monitors the performance of installed IPT infrastructure. Identifies any resulting impacts
on other technologies.
• Supports business customers in the engineering process.
• Supports the operations teams in implementation, maintenance and support of all
elements of the infrastructure.
• Provides guidance and technical coaching to less experienced staff. May provide input
to manager on staff performance relating to technology but does not prepare or deliver
performance reviews.
• Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed technical solutions, able to
resolve nearly all operational issues.
• Maintains technical expertise and retools on emerging technologies.
• Must have knowledge of industry best practices, trends and benchmarking regarding
processes, services and engineering solutions and make recommendations to management on
improvements for IT.
• Collaborates with peers to solve unique and complex issues; requires conceptual and
innovative thinking and education and/or experience to develop solutions.
• Assesses performance of installed technologies, analyzes data, identifying any unusual
findings and escalates as appropriate.
• Provides input to design decisions, contributing an understanding of how the technology
performs in client environment..
• Leads colleagues on projects, providing clear direction and technical guidance.
• Serves as a resource and consultant to IT colleagues in their areas of expertise.
• Within a larger project, leads the execution of project elements of notable complexity
related to their area of expertise, such as leading the implementation of a new technology or
upgrade; develops the strategy for execution
• Responsible for the delivery of end results focused on operational excellence
• Works independently and leads problem determination efforts requiring assistance from
cross functional teams for the most complex situations.
