The candidate acts as general counsel to Hospital, serves on the hospital legal team under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer, and manages day-to-day legal needs of hospital and its related entities as assigned. Acts as subject matter expert on one or more relevant areas of health law. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. should have excellent analytical, research and negotiation skills. should be Proficient in computer software applications and systems, including to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and internet based search and research technologies. Excellent independent judgment. Must have Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Should have 8 years experience as a Texas licensed attorney with 4 years focused in health law with knowledge and expertise in all aspects of legal and regulatory compliance with Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark law, and other relevant requirements in support of a variety of hospital and physician related activities. Should be member in good standing and licensed by Texas Supreme Court and admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
