RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and perform the extraction and analysis of pertinent data to support ongoing work plan items and ad hoc reviews, including importing, cleaning, transforming, and validating data for analysis and designing reports, updates, and presentation slides. Take action on data findings and analytical insights to help VUMC proactively address or avoid compliance issues. Review and recommend efficient and appropriate system edits or other data controls which would improve VUMC compliance or lower regulatory risk. Maintain comprehensive and secure testing history database and analyze history to trend performance, conduct follow-up or extended testing to ensure proper remediation, and identify future areas for potential review based on changing regulations, recent enforcement actions, and trends in billing data. Development of project plans, whether part of an audit plan or specially assigned, including compiling data, basic investigation and inquiry, and summarize findings. Represent the compliance function in process improvement analysis, data integrity or governance, or other control reviews. Facilitate communication between personnel and other functions of OHCC to ensure analysis findings are implemented as applicable to minimize regulatory risk and maximize clinical, financial, and administrative efficiency.
