Description
The Strategy Advancement Advisor provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
In support of the Enterprise Data Science team's strategy to operationalize predictive models, the Strategy Advancement Advisor will work with analytics teams and operations teams to craft the value proposition for analytics projects, and then develop a communication strategy for executives and front line associates. This role will develop effective change management strategies to make sure that our analytics projects are delivering business value and are being used, in addition to developing KPIs to measure performance.
The Strategy Advancement Advisor will work closely with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers and translate the results of models to various business operations teams. This role would also be responsible for demonstrating how we can show the value of our analytic work, but also performing gap analysis and forming plans to close the gaps where the analytics models don't fully meet the client needs.
The Strategy Advancement Advisor leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
8 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and consulting skills
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Must be data-driven and motivated to achieve measurable business change
Experience working with data science, predictive models, business intelligence, or advanced analytics
