The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, under the direction of the Cath Lab Operations Supervisor, Cardiology Manager, and Cardiovascular services director, is responsible for direct and indirect patient care for adult and geriatric patients with a broad range of illnesses, scrubbing diagnostic/interventional procedures, and procedure documentation/hemodynamic monitoring.  Other departmental duties as assigned, such as: ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, cost efficiency, providing appropriate information towards future needs and actively supports process improvement within the Cardiology Department.  The Tech maintains an active marketing profile for the facility/physicians and maintains professional standards and seeks professional growth.  The Tech practices in accordance with organizational medical staff directives, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Cardiology Department and the Heart Hospital of Austin at Round Rock Medical Center.**4, 10 hour shifts; call required**  ','!*!
Education and Experience:
Required:  A graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic
program in health science (includes cardiovascular technology or radiologic
technology) yielding RCIS, RCES, RT(R), or equivalent credential
 
Preferred:  Prior Cath Lab, Vascular, IR, EP experience, 1-2 Years Acute Care
Hospital experience, computer skills 
 
Licenses and Certificates:
Required:  Licensed in the state of Texas for Radiology (MRT; LMRT) or modality
credentialing (includes RCIS, RCES, VI, CI, or equivalent) within 2 years of
employment.  AHA BLS at time of hire; ACLS within six months of employment
