Description

In this role, you will work on some of the latest Microsoft technologies to build datawarehouse and publish Power BI dashboard. You will directly work with key client stakeholders to define the business problem and determine solution requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring business value and communicating results. The Senior Cloud Services Engineer enables cloud to provide optimal performance, continuity and efficiency in virtualized, on-demand environments. The Senior Cloud Services Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

*This is a work from home position however candidate must be able to accommodate EST or CST time zone

The Senior Cloud Services Engineer utilizes software that manages and monitors networks, systems and applications not only to guarantee performance to cloud software environments but also to better orchestrate and automate provisioning of resources. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of technical experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Keen ability to assess overall technical landscape and determine the optimal BI/Reporting solution, making recommendations for future state
Demonstrable skills in business intelligence, data warehouse modeling, database design, and system architecture with a focus on building secure applications at enterprise scale
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team using git and leading data engineers with code reviews and pull requests using Azure DevOps, Github, Bitbucket, etc.
Strong experience with full life cycle projects (dev, test, prod)
Substantial experience with RDMS development, testing and deployment, with a particular focus on SQL Server 2016 Expertise with T-SQL and familiarity with SQL variants
Strong experience with SQL Server Integration Services or similar ETL tool
Proven experience with Power BI (Power BI Online, Power BI Desktop), or related BI tools is necessary
Strong experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell/Python
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high-level of comfort explaining complex technical topics to business clients
Demonstrated ability implementing solutions on-premise as well as Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, etc.


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Prior experience supporting Azure cloud systems.
Associate or Professional Cloud Certification
ARM templates
Azure DevOps Build and Release Pipelines
App Service Environments (V2) with zonal redundancy
