Associate General Counsel
The candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice to academic and administrative leaders of the University on a variety of substantive transactional matters. Serves as a senior counselor in the Office of General Counsel handling complex commercial contracts and is responsible for the management of the University’s commercial relationships. Maintains key strategic relationships with University leadership with significant operational and budgetary responsibilities. Assists with the oversight of junior lawyers and professionals handling contracts and related transactional and operational issues, working with other attorneys in the office and outside counsel (as applicable) to represent the University. Must have JD degree along with 7+ years of previous experience. Should have significant experience negotiating, reviewing and drafting complex commercial agreements. Experience working in higher education and issues surrounding that setting; project management; strong communication skills; ability to work independently is needed.
