Associate Director, Brand Counsel
The candidate will serve as a business partner, and provide day-to-day support to the commercial, medical affairs, patient services, and market access teams on legal matters. Will work closely with legal, compliance and colleagues across other expertise areas and geographies to ensure alignment in support of the legal team mission and business goals. Key Responsibilities : To provide comprehensive, high quality legal advice and support to U.S. commercial, medical affairs, patient services, and market access teams based on applicable, laws and regulations (including those that involve fraud and abuse and anti-kickback laws) and Alnylam policies and guidelines. Analyze advertising and promotional materials, non-promotional disease awareness materials, patient services and patient assistance activities and communications, training materials, speaker program materials, medical education activities, and advisory board proposals, for the U.S. market. Identify, analyze and mitigate legal and commercial risks and advise relevant teams. Advise on a range of contracts including non-disclosure, speaker, grant, vendor, consulting, ad board agreements. Act as a business partner to the compliance team in connection with policy setting, training and other activities. Support general corporate and R&D legal matters and business development opportunities, as needed. Must have BA / BS, JD from an accredited law school in the U.S., with excellent academic credentials. Should have 3-5 years of legal experience and current bar admission covering in-house practice. Experience in pharma / biotech industry, or from a law firm working on healthcare-related matters; experience with rare disease, specialty or pediatric drugs preferred. Should have proven ability to work with a high level of integrity, transparency, accuracy and attention to detail.
