SCCM Help Desk Support

Profile

We are currently seeking a Technical Support Consultant for one of our clients in Bloomington, IL. This will be a 12 month contract with the option to extend long term.
This is a first level support team. SCCM skills are needed.
The Windows Software Distribution Administration team performs procedural tasks associated with software distribution, including installation and maintenance. They are responsible for creating, monitoring, scheduling, canceling and following-up on production and test distribution jobs. Work is generated from a variety of sources including WSD Workflow database, WSD Enhancement Workflow database, and HP Service Manager. They are staffed onsite between the hours of 6:30am and 4:30 pm, but also provide off shift pager coverage 7x24. The job involves fluctuating workloads. Core services include enhancements, production distributions, test distributions, audits, and promotions. On average, the team processes 2,500 requests per month and 1,450 HP Service Manager records.
Critical Technical Skills:
Ability to access workstations using a variety of tools for problem resolution of SCCM client and WMI Issues
Knowledge and experience project methodology
Knowledge and experience with FileNET
Knowledge and experience with Lotus notes databases: OPIS and ITAR databases
DMS Workflow
Knowledge of Servers
Desired Skills/Qualities:
Strong customer service and oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well with others and to adapt and maintain a positive attitude in an ever changing environment
Ability to organize and make sound judgments effectively diagnosing situations
HP Service Manager experience and previous help desk experience desired
Ability to document and update solutions in a knowledge database
Willingness to take part in a rotating off-shift on call schedule
Has good technical problem solving skills and has demonstrated commitment to future technical skill development
Self-motivated and has the critical thinking skills to work independently and problem solve
Ability to act as a liaison when consulting on Windows Software Distribution projects
