Profile

The Sr. Windows Systems Administrator’s role is to ensure the continuous operation of production applications and systems as a member of the Operations Support Group. In this capacity the Systems Administrator will analyze and resolve application and system related problems in an environment that includes Windows based servers. Should have experience architecting and deploying operating systems.

Certifications are a huge plus but loving the state of the art technology is a must. You should be self-motivated, and a fast learner to adapt to the ever changing software and system architectures. Extensive experience in production support as a Systems Administrator is a must. Experience with system architecture planning and implementation is necessary.
The Systems Administrator works with server hardware, software, and internally developed applications, and third party vendors with installations, maintenance and troubleshooting, and working closely with QA and Software Development to identify defects and enhancements, following them through to resolution. The Systems Administrator is required to understand and manage scripts and monitoring reports l, Windows system events, including database interaction ( MSSQL).
Required Experience:
Assist in Architect and design multi locations at an Enterprise level of Windows based projects
Configure and install all server hardward, including operating system.
Systems Administration experience in a 24/7, high availability production support environment.
Proven Experience in Windows Server 2003/2008.
Windows Clustering 2003/2008
VMware, Hyper-V
Experience in Group Policy, AD and Windows based domains
DNS, DHCP servers, Mail Servers, and scripted tools (Powershell)
NAS and SAN storage(EMC and IBM)
experience in a 300plus server environment
SQL Server exp.
Excellent teamwork.
Expert-level degree of technical aptitude and hands on attitude toward problem solving
ACU
experience in building, configuring .Net, IIS, Apacache Tomcat, Java, SQL
Required Skills/Education:
Minimum 5 years of Systems Administration experience in a high-availability environment
Extensive experience and knowledge of:
Microsoft Windows Server 2008
MSSQL database queries and syntax
System monitoring applications, Microsoft Operations Manager
Web Server technologies, including Apache and IIS
Proven Shell (sh, ksh, bash) and Perl Scripting Ability
SAN and NAS technologies, including proficiency with hardware and software based RAID
