Director, Trial Techniques (Interim)

The candidate will provide leadership of and manage all aspects of the Trial Techniques Program. With support from a dedicated staff member and the many team leaders and faculty who have taught the Program for years, will carry out or oversee include: Proposing and administering program budget. Defining yearly program goals and establishing tools to assess student and faculty program experience. Establishing program curriculum, preparing course syllabus and teaching notes, and selecting and/or creating course materials, including case files. Recruiting and training team leaders and local and national volunteer program faculty for the May intensive program. Recruiting ten to 12 host firms for the spring workshops, and training them in teaching methodology. Selecting student coordinators. Securing space for the program. Working with Operations/ITD, to ensure the program’s technological needs are met. Maintaining relationships with local high schools to provide jurors for the May intensive program. Negotiating with vendors for program needs, including faculty lodging and meals. Establishing and enforcing student attendance policy. Working with Marketing & Communications, regarding publicity for the program.
