GENERAL FUNCTION


The Retail Product Master is responsible for the management of product specification adherence, product quality, and yield achievement for case ready beef, pork, and ground beef products.


DUTIES


Routine audits of production practices and product quality this will require the majority of their time on the production floor.

Coordinate and review sample request to ensure product integrity

Monitoring of product specifications for trimming, styling, packaging, and labeling requirements

Report product issues and audit results to Plant Operations, FSQA Manager, and Corporate Sales

Assist in raw material audits for training auditors and specification compliance with FSQA auditor and FSQA manager.

Perform and oversee Case Ready yield tests for accuracy along with specific details which may include photos.

Assist in various tests from R&D or FSQA in the facility as directed by Corporate Sales

Monitor enhancement procedures to ensure desired product quality is obtained

Manage and train Quality Captains along with QA techs on specifications and audit criteria.

Perform on line cut method audits for specification adherence also help identify yield opportunities.

Work directly with the PMJ and On-Line Auditors to evaluate job performance and data entry when required.

Train PMJ in all functions of PM


EDUCATION


Bachelor’s degree preferred but case ready experience and retail management experience can override


EXPERIENCE


Minimum of 2 years in retail management with expertise in retail cutting methods

Communication skills demonstrating the proven ability to deal with all levels is a major job requirement


COMPUTER SKILLS


Standard computer skills required

Ability to input data on spreadsheets including photos for sending information to Plant Management and Corporate Quality Assurance, Sales, and Operations


SPECIAL SKILLS


Excellent communication required in both written and verbal.

Must have good problem identification and problem solving skills

Must be able to work independently and interact with many different departments within the organization including Sales, Operations, Hourly Team members, and Quality Assurance
