The Routing Agent is responsible for assisting with the routing of home delivery orders to provide efficient and effective routes that drive customer satisfaction. This position interacts frequently with the Routing Operative, Department of Defense, warehouse personnel, and 3rd Party Delivery Partners.
The Routing Agent will report directly to the Routing Commander and will take direction from the Routing Operative. Responsibilities will include, assisting with maintaining system records, reviewing and adjusting planned routes daily, supporting daily routing exceptions, providing support for issue escalation and troubleshooting, and providing daily and weekly reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Provides daily support and routing direction to partners by utilizing computerized home delivery software to effectively input home delivery routing resource data to generate routes that ensure efficient, effective, and customer centric routes are created
Assists and provides direction for same day route management changes and communication with Delivery Partner Dispatchers in response to local weather or traffic conditions and order changes to ensure route accuracy for customers
Assists and provides direction in troubleshooting, reporting and/or escalating route planning and execution issues as necessary
Assist the Routing Operative with exporting key reporting metrics out of the home delivery routing software program
Responsible for data entry, inputs records pertaining to home delivery driver qualifications/skill sets as directed, and provides feedback to the Routing Operative to support global routing improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience
Communicates with warehouse personnel to finalize post route publish activities
Basic Requirements:
6 months experience in retail, service, distribution, operations, or transportation environment
6 months experience in reading and interpreting geographical information preferred
