Automation Testing Engineer

Profile

This is a long term project with our DIRECT client.
Please no Corp-to-corp
At least 2 years of recent experience in design, development, execution, and maintenance of
automated
tests for multi-tier web applications.
Knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA process, and software release cycle
Knowledge of and experience with java programming language
Candidate will have experience involving the development and maintenance of test automation constructs to support QA initiatives. The Software Test
Engineer
will possess knowledge of software development languages design and develop test procedures and cases based on requirements relevant to
automated
test planning and creation.
Knowledgeable in the use of
automated
testing tools (such as IBM Rational Functional, HP QuickTest Professional, Borland SilkTest)
Knowledgeable in the use of test management tools (such as IBM Rational TestManager, HP Quality Center)
Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate test methodologies including writing test plans and test cases.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Knowledge of code source control procedures and software defect tracking
This person will eventually do some developing as well. Experience with developing is preferred, but not required, training would be provided.
