Business Analyst - Technology Ventures
Duties: Reports to the Assistant Director-Marketing and Business Compliance in Technology Ventures (or, in the absence thereof, the Executive Director of Technology Ventures). Supports the licensing process but has limited direct contact with licensees or potential licensees outside of written communication. Supports the research functions, office management functions, database management, file maintenance functions and financial functions such as processing of legal bills, issuance and collection of invoices, and receipt and distribution of royalty income. Is responsible for administration and management of all technology disclosures, intellectual property, IP transactions and agreements, financial processes and related correspondence in Inteum, or an equivalent management solution utilized for protecting, managing, and marketing IP portfolios. Responsible for managing compliance system of federally funded disclosures by tracking and taking appropriate action for disclosures within the federal agency reporting pipeline via Inteum and iedison. Dockets IP protection strategy dates and deadlines by coordinating with patent counsel on patent file dates, office action responses, and other legal communications. Coordinates with innovators to obtain appropriate signatures on patent assignments, declarations, and other documents.
