To meet the needs created by our strategic growth, we are looking for Storage Solutions Engineers for our team.
This position has primary responsibility for integrating and delivering a wide range of complex technology solutions to the client and is a key contributor to the practice engineer team responsible for designing complex Storage services and solutions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provides technical expertise in analyzing client’s requirements, recommending solutions, and assisting sales and other engineers with development of proposals, quotations, and presentations. Responsible for technical sales cycle working closely with sales to close business.
Identifies opportunities and is able to provide the following expertise
---Product selection
---Product configuration
---Product sizing
Conducts advanced and complex solution architecture - related studies researching current and emerging technologies, evaluates alternatives, and makes recommendations
Mentors other engineers to apply engineering background knowledge for project design, analysis, and project coordination of products.
Develops and maintains customer presentations, demo instructions, and other related collateral.
Conducts site surveys and performs IT environment assessments.
Provides practice specific architecture designs and sizing documentation.
Provides high level product demonstrations.
Monitors and manages day-to-day operations of a program, project or function, including developing short and long-range goals, objectives and budgets, coordinating activities with other departments and agencies, overseeing records maintenance, monitoring budgets, approving, and monitoring expenditures, overseeing reporting requirements, evaluating program or project service delivery and cost effectiveness; ensures procedures are being followed and assists in resolving complex problems which require professional level input.
Performance of overall solution Quality Assurance (QA) tasks for all projects delivered against assigned project deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum 5 years Information technology experience, including architecture and design/implementation experience with multiple EMC storage solutions
Experience with multiple operating systems such as Unix, Linux and Windows
Other Position Requirements
Experience with SAN Storage solutions, to include one or more of the following: VMAX, VBlock, VNX, Isilon, VPLEX
Architecture, implementation, and migration experience with Symmetrix and Clarion
SDRF experience
Switch experience (such as Cisco/Brocade/McData) as it relates to a SAN
Demonstrated experience leading complex technology projects in support of business initiatives
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
EMC Certifications
NAS (Celerra/NetApp) knowledge
VMAX experience
Recoverpoint, FAST-VP, Open Replicator/Migrator, Replication Manager, Unisphere, CLI, PowerPath, ControlCenter, SMC, SPA and other EMC software experience
