Senior Asset Management Accountant

Profile

Rex is a billion-dollar technology, investment and operations company led by Executive Chairman Peter Rex. We are looking to hire a Senior Asset Management Accountant for our property management group.
What you'll do:
Develop, maintain, and analyze annual budget and onboarding budget process, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs in the context of multifamily residential real estate management.
Prepare, examine, or analyze financial and operational investor reporting to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards on quarterly and monthly basis.
Report monthly and/or quarterly executive summaries to Owners regarding financial, operational, and construction performance.
Develop, implement, modify, and document internal and external data collection, analysis, and reporting making use of data solutions for property management, construction project management, business spend management software, and other current computer technology.
Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Compute annual property tax value assessments and prepare appeal or litigation documentation for tax expense reductions in collaboration with outside tax consultants.
Ensure relevant information/data from vendors is reported to EnergyStar on a frequent basis to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, or standards like lender reporting requirements for energy consumption.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
Five years of progressive experience as an accountant, financial analyst, investment underwriter, or related field.
