This position is response for inventory control in the maintenance shop, as well as receiving and storing parts, maintenance supplies, and miscellaneous receivers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for inventory control in the maintenance shop as well as receiving and storing supplies, maintenance supplies, and miscellaneous receivers. This position maintains inventories in the SAP and TMMS systems; completing part requisitions and purchase orders, assigning vendor/Tyson numbers and ensuring parts are in proper bins with proper minimum/maximum levels are very important job duties; delivers plant supplies/miscellaneous supplies to appropriate departments daily with the use of a dolly or truck; responsible for assisting others in the part room and ensuring work is completed accurately and timely; other duties/tasks assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift objects weighing at least 70 pounds and walk on concrete surfaces, distances up to ¼ mile numerous times daily; ability to withstand heat, cold, inclement weather and odors.
Education: Must have GED or High School diploma.
Experience: Prefer experience in maintenance or parts room.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows programs, SAP and Microsoft Outlook.
Communication Skills: Good communication skills.
Special Skills: Must be able to read and write; possess basic math skills; work well with others.
