The Doctor Call Queue Pharmacist will:


Provide resolution or outreach for a resolution on prescriptions that are considered incomplete, invalid, or contain clinical issues preventing the fulfillment of the request via electronic communication with the Doctor's office.
Check for completeness and accuracy of prescriptions
Interact with fellow health care team members virtually
Assure compliance with legal requirements within the pharmacy
Other duties as assigned by leadership


Responsibilities

The Doctor Call Queue Pharmacist will:


Be able to work independent and be self guided while maintaining the upmost quality and production.
Must feel comfortable with their clinical judgement and utilization of resources provided
Provide resolution or outreach for a resolution on prescriptions that are considered incomplete, invalid, or contain clinical issues preventing the fulfillment of the request
Check for completeness and accuracy of prescriptions
Interact with fellow health care team members virtually
Assure compliance with legal requirements within the pharmacy
Other duties as assigned by leadership


Work hours Monday thru Friday, 8 hour shifts/40 hours a week. Hours range from 8am-6:30pm EST/7-5:30 MST and are subject to change yearly based off of department need.

There is a potential for mandatory overtime at some portions of the year. PTO restrictions during blackout peak periods December through March.

Required Qualifications


Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
Licensed as a PHARMACIST in Arizona, Florida or Ohio
Reside in Arizona, Florida or Ohio
Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group
Comfortable with virtual communication


Preferred Qualifications


Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with computers and navigation of multiple computer based resources
3 years' experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
