(link removed)> We have an exciting new opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join our diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The Engineering Technician will work in NAVAIR aircraft integration and development lab in support of system development, system integration and system level testing. Candidate must be capable of reading standard US Navy engineering drawings and following work instructions to produce complex assemblies. The Engineering Technician will also perform other tasks to aid in the increased efficiency of test, evaluation, integration and system development.
Requirements
Education: High School Education or equivalent.
Experience: Recent experience on US Navy fixed-wing aircraft. Prefer MPRA aircraft, P-3 or P-8.
Completion of formal Avionics or Electronics training.
Working knowledge of military publications, drawings, diagrams and schematics.
Must possess a minimum DoD Secret clearance.
Able to negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships.
Skilled in applying standardized, analytical, and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to inspect projects and advise on and/or resolve difficult but well-precedented, factual, procedural, and/or recurring issue.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive)
Applies technical methods and principles to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications systems.
Trouble shoot, isolate and repair electrical components.
Perform operational checks, bench checks in complex aircraft avionics equipment.
Repairs or replaces components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
Performs calibration, repair and replacement of system components based on test results.
Salary Range
: $55,000 - $80,000 annually.
