Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on machines critical to the manufacturing process. Diagnose problems affecting the operation of production machinery.

Identify the difference between mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic repairs and determine best approach for making such repairs.

Roles and Responsibilities:


Obtain or request parts needed to complete repairs.
Troubleshoot electrical problems with VOM, amprobe, oscilloscope, etc.
Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
Respond to written work requests as directed.
Observe all safety procedures and policies.
Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:


High School Diploma or GED.
Formal training in electrical equipment repair.
1-2 years of experience.
Practical experience in repair of mechanical equipment, preferably in the area of machine tools.
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:


Skilled in trouble shooting electrical, mechanical and hydraulic malfunctions of machine tools and basic knowledge to correct problems causes.
Strong knowledge of machine tool operation, fundamentals of electronic equipment and mechanical mechanisms.
Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring schematics, to trouble shoot hydraulic systems, and able to repair and performance maintenance of machine shop equipment.
