Staff Attorney (Attorney III)

Duties: Performs moderately complex (journey-level) attorney work and reports to the PSF Director of Legal and Compliance. Will provide a broad array of legal services in support of all PSF activities and functions. Work involves planning and organizing work, interpreting laws and regulations, preparing legal documents, and rendering legal advice and counsel. Will focus on contracting for goods and services under state purchasing laws; monitoring compliance with the PSF compliance program and federal regulations; and, coordinating responses to requests under the Texas Public Information Act. Assigned work may sometimes include supporting senior attorneys with various legal matters related to alternative asset investments, such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
