Bank Operations Officer

Profile

Our client is currently seeking a Bank Operations Officer who will be a hands-on manager of bank branches, but will also manage and oversee core bank operations at a corporate level.
The successful candidate will be very experienced in bank operations including cash, cash items, in transit, vault processing, negotiable instruments. These will be new product offerings for this fast-growing bank, so candidates must also have the experience and ability of bringing in/implementing new products and managing them after implementation. Heavy involvement in BSA program may be part of the role for person experienced in managing these programs; so BSA implementation a big plus, but not required.
Details of responsibilities include:
· Manage current deposit operations and retail banking operations and products, including management and support of the deposit processing platform.
· Implement new product processes and procedures as management dictates including cash related functions.
· Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Bank and regulatory standards, policies and practices and to report/correct control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational defects.
· Assess risk in the deposit operations area and implement effective risk controls and mitigants.
· Monitor deposit customer accounts for suspicious/fraudulent/elder abuse activities;
· Manage strategic planning processes for Deposit Operations function.
· Hire, train, schedule, evaluate performance and supervise branch bank employees in multiple locations.
Supervise management of all deposit processes.
Maintain account agreements between Bank and its customers.
Supervise verification of daily transactions and maintenance between Deposit Account Specialists and customers.
Work closely with Compliance Officer to ensure branch compliance with Federal and State regulations, laws and policies and monitor ongoing branch training.
Maintain the security of the Bank’s branches, including the issuance of keys and access to the Bank’s security alarm and vault area.
Train employees on FDIC Deposit Insurance Rules and interpret these rules for the customers when necessary.
Ensure quality control of all customer and account information on the Bank’s core system.
Daily reconciliation to approve large posted items & to ensure Deposit GL accounts are balanced.
Daily reporting on Branch Activity to corporate office Accounting Department.
Manage enterprise-wide BSA program, for Triumph and all subsidiaries.
Maintain Company’s BSA, OFAC, and FinCen Compliance.
Manage Online Banking, Electronic Account Opening, and E-Delivery programs.
Manage weekly rate survey and update interest rates as needed on all appropriate Bank systems.
Perform annual planning and budgeting for two branches.
Provide training to all branch employees; set goals, monitor and conduct performance evaluations for all branch employees.
Other duties as assigned by EVP/COO.
