The Consultative Pharmacy Technician 2 certified Pharmacy Technician will demonstrate the ability to work independently and remain focused in a role that consists mostly of data entry. The ideal candidate should be proficient in interpreting prescriptions, including sig codes, basic pharmacy calculations, and brand/generic drugs.

Responsibilities

The Consultative Pharmacy Technician 2 addresses questions related to specific assigned area and assists with medication research. Makes outbound calls to clients to obtain clarification on patient information. Decisions are typically focused on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Earn a $750 hiring bonus ! The bonus is paid after 180 days of employment; you must be employed until that date to be eligible to receive the payment.

Serving over 450 customers and nearly 100,000 patients nationally, Enclara works closely with hospices to reduce pharmacy costs, improve patient care, and support caregivers through digital innovations, flexible medication access, one-on-one clinical support, and excellent customer service.

Hours: Monday through Friday 12:30pm-9pm EST with rotating weekends every 6 weeks

Remote work-at-home position in TN or PA. Must live within the state to be qualified. If located in TN, you must have your TN Pharmacy Tech License and national pharmacy certification (PTCB or ExCPT).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Enter patient demographics for new patients
Profile new medication orders and updates to existing orders
Update patient profiles with appropriate medication authorizations, start/stop dates, and medication coverage information
Make outbound calls to hospices regarding fax-related issues or discrepancies on faxed orders
Accurately enter medication orders from faxes
Complete incoming tasks as assigned by Supervisor, Manager or Team Leader
Meet and maintain productivity and quality requirements
Utilize faxing system to refax prescriptions to prescribers as needed
Maintain and strengthen a working relationship with both internal and external clients


Required Qualifications


Requires High School Diploma
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician or Tech in Training license
Must be able to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 10 months of hire
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting
Excellent communication skills
Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills
A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for customer service
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


COVID 19 Vaccination:

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their homes to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.

Work-At-Home Requirements


WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expenses.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
