The Associate Designer role will work on the design process from concept to production for Tommy Hilfiger handbags. Responsibilities include sketching, tech packs, proto corrections, research, and organization of materials and samples.

Responsibilities:

In partnership with Design team, assist in the design and development of seasonal collections for mens’ and womens’ handbags
Researches concepts, materials and color trends
Prepares design presentations for review meetings
Prepares spec package for factories
Collaborates cross functionally with Product Development and Merchandising
Ensures timely development of line by adhering to design calendar

Qualifications:

2- 3+ years in handbag design; accessories knowledge, a plus
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accessories Design
Strong communication skills, and time management
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
Displays understanding of Tommy Hilfiger brand aesthetic
Strong knowledge of materials, construction, and hardware
Ability to work with multiple cross functional partners
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
PLM and/or 3D design experience, a plus
